Have you seen the documentary Earthlings? I have, and I’ll never forget it. One image in particular stood out to me—
I watched a terrified, gentle cow being forced into a slaughterhouse.
My life literally changed in that moment. It was obvious that she knew exactly what was coming. You simply cannot say that animals don’t understand what’s happening. They know.
I was already vegan when I watched this documentary, but I was doing it for my health.
My wife Paige was vegan and thriving, while I was worried about maintaining my NFL weight and muscle. But because I was having a lot of health problems, I decided to try a vegan diet. If it didn’t work, I could always switch back, right? Well, I started to feel better right away. And my strength increased!
Seeing for myself how horribly farm animals are treated solidified my veganism. Now I’m quick to tell people that I’m an ethical vegan—I’m not just in it because it makes me feel and perform better. That’s icing on the cake.
What happens in slaughterhouses has to stop.
And that’s why I’ve dedicated my life to animals—working with Vegan Outreach to spread compassion to new communities.
My wife Paige and I want to inspire as many people as possible to replace animal foods—that cause indescribable suffering—with vegan foods that are better for us anyway. But this requires needed funds.
Donate $20 or more to my Team Vegan page this week and we’ll send you a Vegan Outreach magnet, sticker, or bookmark to thank you for your help!* But even more importantly—
Your donation will be doubled!
I want to reach my $25,000 goal so Vegan Outreach can put a full $50,000 toward spreading compassion for animals. I’m halfway to my goal thanks to many generous people—and now I need your support, too.
The cow I saw died a violent death—her last minutes were full of intense pain and terror.
