We are so excited to share that the first quarter started on a strong note, driven by the power of collective efforts, building a strong animal rights movement in India, and I want to thank you and all the organizations in India for making this possible.
Anita Dongre Foundation × Green Tuesday Initiative

Anita Dongre’s Rewild is a sustainability-focused, high-fashion fundraiser launched in 2023, aimed at supporting wildlife conservation and promoting human–nature coexistence.
Most Rewild events in the past were focused on companion animals and wildlife. We want to thank India Animal Fund, for bringing farmed animals into the mainstream animal welfare discussions at Rewild 2026 and nominating the Green Tuesday Initiative. Thanks to them, we could speak about farmed animals, bringing attention to a part of the movement that is often overlooked.
It was an important platform to highlight the role of farmed animals and share how farmed animals, wildlife, and climate change are deeply interconnected.

The response was overwhelming and reinforced the belief that awareness can shift how people think and act. Anita Dongre Foundation now supports the Green Tuesday Initiative through the Rewild grant.
A New Collaborative Boosting the Farmed Animal Rights Movement in India

The India Karuna Collaborative (IKC) convened more than 50 signatories and partner organization leaders for a cross‑sector gathering—voices from business, finance, policy, philanthropy, media, and civil society—for the first time ever for India’s farmed animals. As a steering committee member, we will help shape collaborative and engaging leaders from India through our various programs.

Green Tuesday Initiative: Creating More Impact For Animals

In the first quarter, we secured some of the biggest campaign successes by partnering with companies like Firstsource and reduced 390,953 kg/861,903 pounds of animal products.
We also partnered with GH Raisoni and expanded the Green Tuesday Initiative to its Saikheda campus in Madhya Pradesh.
By introducing dairy-free meals every Tuesday, the campus is replacing 5,040 kg/11,111 pounds of dairy products with plant-based alternatives.
Engagement on Ground: Impact Beyond Reduction

In 2026, we launched the Green Tuesday Initiative employee engagement program. Through the Initiative, our focus is on bringing long-term behaviour change that inspires people to go vegan and be more compassionate toward animals.
In the first quarter after launching the program, we organized three awareness sessions, with more than 21 institutions participating.
Renewed Commitments
The following institutions renewed their Green Tuesday Initiative commitment last quarter, reflecting a continued commitment to long-term change:
The collective efforts of animal rights organizations and individuals across India are slowly bringing the issue of farmed animals into the mainstream conversation and helping build a stronger animal rights movement in the country. This is not possible without your support. Thank you for supporting our work.
