My dogs are vegan and eat V-Dog. They are very healthy and active. It is definitely possible and works well.
My Chihuahua, Dexter, is vegan due to a liver shunt diagnosis over 3 years ago. (Diagnosis was 10 months to 2 years left to live if he’s lucky.) Vet wanted to put him on hepatic dog food for the remainder of his life … over my dead body! (His poop was gray when he ate that horrific food!!!) So, we changed his diet to vegan (yams, zucchini, celery, peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, lentils, watermelon, cantaloupe, papaya, etc., etc., etc.). He’s absolutely THRIVING on the vegan diet!
